If you want to play for free and play more habitually then the freerolls on the pay sites go to www.nlop.com. I've won in the order of 15 or 20 bucks so far. They send you a check through the mail though so you have to lurk for a while if you win.
Answers: Sure you can make money for free at all most any off shore based poker site. You hold to enter the freeroll tournaments that pay the top 100 positions or so. You have to be good at poker and it take time but it can be done. Once you win and cash out it make take a few months for the money to come in.
Yes, there are some "compensate to..." sites that are international. Some pay by check, some use paypal and some use egold or alert pay.
